This paper analyzes the keys to the success of the Spanish condominium regime in organizing multi-family housing, compared to the modest presence of housing cooperatives in cession of use, despite the insistence on their popularization through some initiatives endowed with public resources. To understand them, we will analyze how their respective legal frameworks condition freedom, democracy, security, the equality and the mixticity of owners and cooperative members. Through this analysis, various problems are identified with the current theoretical model of housing cooperatives in cession of use and proposals are formulated to strengthen this model and to contribute, in some way, to its replicability.Downloads
