EL REGISTRO DE LA PROPIEDAD Y EL MEDIO AMBIENTE.

Abstract

This paper has a twofold objective: first of all, to highlight that the Property Registry and the environment are closely linked and, secondly, that the Property Registry represents an important tool for the protection of environment. To achieve both objectives, an approach to the concept of environment has been prepared, the international, european and state regulations on the right to access environmental information have been analyzed and different assumptions of environmental situations that are reflected in the Property Registry have been examined (polluted soils, burnt forest areas and preferential acquisition rights on natural protected areas). At the end of the paper, the author thinks about the role to be played in future by the Property Registry within the scope of the protection of environment.
