Abstract

This commentary addresses the main questions posed by sponsorship letters in the few pronouncements that Spanish courts have provided jurisprudence with concerning such letters. Particularly, it analyses points such as the contents and interpretation of sponsorship letters, the obligational nature of sponsorship letters (legally and morally) and the legal standing and liability of the issuers of sponsorship letters.
