Abstract

Roman-style joint ownership is supposedly a transitory situation only, meant to be terminated. What requirements must be met for its termination? Can it be only partially terminated when some joint owners dispose of their shares of ownership to their fellow joint owners? Because of its very nature, termination refers to the arrangement for the entire jointly owned property. Partial termination is not acceptable if the arrangement continues for other joint owners, even if their shares of ownership have changed.
